nimbustwokay is a record producer and DJ from Montreal. Recognized for his many collaborations as a director for artists such as Seinsucrer Dope.Gng or Jei Bandit, nimbustwokay quickly made a name for himself on the Montreal scene. Straight out of a paradoxical world, dense and textural, his music transports us into fragmented paintings where the notion of time is lost and collides against epileptic and complex sampling.

With codes borrowed from hyperpop and NY garage, nimbustwokay redefined the electronic music of his time by taking it out of the club to transpose it towards a more introspective listening. His producing is a meditative and contemplative journey with references to pop culture of his time. In concert, nimbus delivers performances as a multi-instrumentalist or DJ, accompanied by his musicians and solo. His performances include appearances at Shift Radio, Mural, Club Soda and many other clubs and stages in Quebec.

Carrying us on a journey from minimalism to epic expansion, nimbustwokay introduced us to their debut project, wabi sabi, released in May 2022. Beneath pure Electronica, wabi sabi merges infectious rhythms and frenetic percussion with hybrid soundscapes . Created by nimbustwokay in a chalet last summer, the 8 pieces that make up wabi sabi plunge us into a strangely serene intimacy where imperfection and authenticity reign. Coming from the Japanese concept that describes empathy for physical things, a sensitivity for the ephemeral, wabi sabi hypnotizes with its immersive and multi-dimensional production.
